I was born and raised in Alabama.  My Christian journey began when I was twelve days old when my mother and father took me to church for the first time. At thirteen, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and at fifteen I heard God calling me to preach His Word. I graduated from Samford University (Birmingham, AL) and went from there to Fort Worth, TX to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  That began my love of Texas! I became senior pastor at Brighton Park Baptist Church in March 2014. 

My wife, Sally, and I  married in 1992 and we have three grown children, Joseph (Kayla), Ryan  (Amber), and Abbigail (Clayton).  God has blessed us with a beautiful family including our wonderful grandchildren.
